This morning I took the longest walk that I ‘ve taken since I had a baby. A whopping 6 miles, woo! I know, I know that does not sound like that much, but for me recovery from a C-section, it has taken a minute to get there. Today, I told myself walk with purpose, push yourself further and go faster. My goal is to eventually start running and get one of those hot mom bods ;), but for now I need to work on simply walking, and walking with purpose towards those goals means go a little farther each time.
Today I walked on the canal and enjoyed the overcast cooler weather! The canal trail is a beautiful path between the river and the canal, and I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about dodging traffic! We walked all the way out to this big open section where you kind find a place to sit next to the river and enjoy the view, baby boy enjoyed himself a little snack while this mamma took in the beauty of the morning! Oh, and my dog who up till now has acted terrified of water, jumped in the river and swam a bit, go figure, haha!
